"Clean, safe and comfortable place to stay."

"This Inn is definitely historic and has a lot of charm. The first night we stayed in a smaller room and the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room was cramped but reasonable. The second night we moved to the rhododendron room where we had much more space and a beautiful view. We had breakfast one of the mornings, which was an extra cost, but totally worth it. We played cards in the common area in the evening and it was very serene and quiet. The complimentary wine and cookies upon arrival were also a nice perk. Be warned that if you are staying at the Inn during the week when they don’t serve dinner, there is almost nothing to eat in the nearby town. The first night we waited literally for over an hour for our food at the casino restaurant so the second night we drove 30 minutes to Crescent City to eat. The local bear came out to say goodbye as we left on our last morning."

"We stayed at 4 different vacation rentals on our trip to the redwoods this year, and this was by far our favorite of them all. The home had everything we could possibly want, and its location was perfect for our adventures in Redwood National and State Parks. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms had fans to ensure a nice breeze of fresh air. It has lots of small touches that made life easy, for example laundry bins and a cooler to take with us. Our favorite part - one afternoon our kids went out to the creek behind the home and found HUNDREDS of banana slugs, which was a highlight of our trip. We didn’t get a chance to see the elk on the property, but when we drove by on the 199 two days later, they were all over the property’s yard."

"What a gorgeous and special place. We literally gasped when we saw the view of the bay and ocean from this apartment. The couch was incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms were spacious, and the yard was full of blooming flowers and happy birds. Trinidad is a very walkable community and this was the perfect home base right nextdoor to a great local restaurant too. The hosts were so accommodating and made sure we were able to get in ok and had everything we needed. The sauna was a big perk too. We didn't want to leave! I highly recommend this stay to others looking to relax in a quiet and peaceful seaside town."

"The Schoolhouse Inn is immaculate! Would love to spend more time here. The modern, clean design and decor choices gave a meditative air to the space. It felt like being inside a magazine or catalog. Everything you could want to have a relaxing time is there…an escape from clutter and distractions of home."

"This place was nothing short of amazing!! The home was very clean and updated, the host was very communicative and our stay was very comfortable. The first morning we woke up and had an entire herd of elk in the front yard!! This has hands down been the best stay we've ever had!! We're beyond satisfied with this stay!"

"This cozy cottage definitely lives up to its title! It is absolutely the perfect place for a private getaway. Very homey atmosphere with thoughtful touches from the owners. Close proximity to much of the areas activities such as hiking through the redwood trails, spotting elk herds, and a short drive to beach access. Loved our stay...we will be back!"

"Location!!! This place was located perfectly. You can walk to the ocean, an amazing pizza place, a solid market, and a couple other restaurants. Several trails are within a short driving distance. One of our favorite parts was sitting on the front porch and watching the small farm at the next property which had sheep, chickens, a donkey, cows, dogs and cats. They had a good game selection and the foosball table got a lot of use as well. The hot tub was a nice touch as well. The morning beverage selection was nice, coffee, tea, etc. The master bedroom bed was comfortable. They had wood available for the outdoor fire pit which was awesome but you can also gather a bunch of driftwood easily by the beach. This place checked all the boxes for a great trip!!"
