Search Ophir hotels

The best times to go to Ophir are typically during the mild shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October).

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly cool, making outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the historic mining sites very comfortable. The landscapes are particularly striking, with wildflowers blooming in spring or the autumn leaves changing colour. It's a great time for photography and enjoying the natural beauty without the extremes of summer heat or winter snow.

For those interested in winter sports, the period from mid-December to March offers excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding at the nearby resorts. The region transforms into a snowy wonderland, providing a picturesque backdrop for winter activities. However, be prepared for colder temperatures and potential road closures due to heavy snowfall.
