"I was supposed to meet a family member here, but their flight was canceled and could no longer meet me here in Japan. I needed to cancel this reservation because of this disappointing turn of events. I messaged the hotel staff during the window of time necessary to cancel without late-cancellation fees, however the staff did not respond to me until after that window had passed, and would not budge on their policy of charging me for the entire stay. "I stayed 3 nights for a conference in Shimonoseki. The hotel is clean, has all the amenities I need, and the onsen was a plus. Hotel provides pyjamas and all sorts of skin care products at no additional charge. The open bar in the evenings was also a nice touch. There are good restaurants within walking distance."

When we went back to the main lobby, we had to wait in the lobby for over an hour before the staff got us a room. They did not provide updates either. They just asked us to wait.
