"This was one of the most beautiful and serene places we have stayed! After a full day of cycling Shimanami Kaido, we had the opportunity to unwind at Yu-rah and there is so much beauty. The artwork inside of the villa and the nature outside made this one of our favorite places. Highly recommend!!"

"Worst night of my life. There was an alarm bell going off 5 times during the night, so I hardly had any sleep at all. When I finally gave up and left at 5am, there was nobody in the reception, otherwise I would have demanded a full refund."

"I really appreciated the hospitality of the staff, and the small touches like the ginger tea and jelly they leave for you in the room. I had a wide desk and comfortable chair, and a large twin bed with a very comfortable duvet. The bathroom has modern decor and the hairdryer is almost completely silent. My room faced the city so there was some noise from the traffic below but not too much."
"After a couple of days wending my way from Onomichi to Imabari on the Shimanami Kaido the Shimanami Prime Hotel Imabari proved to be a great choice for my final night in the Seto Inland Sea area. Itโs conveniently located just a short walk from the Imabari train station where both the regular bike rental station and the Giant store are located, and where I had to board the highway bus back to Fukuyama the next morning.
Check-in was easy and once I did the staff informed me my bags had been dropped off already by Sagawa transport - which was great since that let me freshen up before dinner. Imabari offers plenty of dining options but I had to sample the local โbuta-nikuโ specialty rice bowl and one of the best places in town happens to be near the Prime Hotel. Called Hakurakuten, itโs only a five minute walk away and just as someone had described to me the rice bowl and the karaage on the side were absolutely excellent.
Soaking in the hotelโs onsen was a great way to unwind after dinner before turning in. The room itself was typical Japanese business hotel โ small but functional. Just right for one night though with the small amount of luggage I had brought.
The morning breakfast buffet was another highlight with plenty of choices and very delicious food. After filling up I reluctantly had to bid goodbye to this lovely area of Japan and had to bid goodbye to this lovely area of Japan and head back to Tokyo but Iโve already vowed to return for a longer visit in the future. "While the room was pretty basic, the staff was wonderful and the location lovely. The parks surrounding the hotel are magnificent. Being able to either walk 5 minutes to the airport or take the complimentary shuttle is so convenient!"
"We absolutely loved our stay here. It was our overnight halfway thru the Shimanami Kaido and it was such a wonderful place to rest. The views and especially sunrise are without equal! We regret not being able to stay at least 2 nights.
The villa is equipped with everything you need to make your own meals, do your own laundry, lounge wear etc. They even left us a few beers, orange juice, specialty jam and honey samples and enough food for our breakfast this morning.
We will absolutely be back and will stay more than a night!
If you have the chance, book more than one night - you wonโt regret it!
