"The Clayton is well located near to the terminal . The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly. The food was expensive for what was served and the standard and quality could be improved. "
"We have never stayed at this chain of hotels before. If they are all like the one in Stockport we have been missing out.
From a warm, professional welcome to our friendly farewell I and my 2 travelling companions could not fault one thing.

We have stayed in five star hotels where staff have not been as wonderful as the Stockport hotel workers are. Staff here could teach many others a thing or two.May I say a particular thank you to the cheery ladies who were around at breakfast time, replenishing food so no one went hungry. Your smiles made our day.
My husband asked for a ‘packed lunch’ to be ready for 10am (train to catch). Brilliant receptionist had it all sorted in time. I am only sorry I did not note any names - I was mesmerised by how outstandingly good this hotel is. A stone’s throw from the railway station. Sound proofing so good one could hardly hear any noise at all. Why this hotel chain has escaped me all these years I do not know but this particular hotel is up there with the best.
