"Very nice place in a cool neighborhood in Winnipeg. Lots to do although much of it closed on Mondays. Nearby restaurants very good. We stayed there a night waiting to catch a train to Vancouver so if you are doing that this place is very close to where you depart. "

"The heater/air conditioning is so noisy at night.. it keep blowing every couple of hours that cause me to wake up. "

"Loved our stay. We were gratefully upgraded. Room was still smaller but beautifully appointed. Stunning space. Beds were absolutely divine. Soft mattresses and luxurious bedding. Dinner in the oval room was sub par. Service and food did not meet my expectations. "

"Rooms were fine and location was okay. It's quite convenient if you're arriving or departing by VIA Rail, as Union Station is just a block or two away. The breakfast is a bit hit and miss but overall pretty good. Cereals, yogurt, canned fruit cocktail and plenty of bread options including English muffins. There are hot choices each morning but only two, which leads to some odd combinations. One morning the hot breakfast options consisted of just hashbrowns and bacon -- no eggs. The next day it was tiny pancakes with sausages. The eggs made an appearance the third day in the form of a nice little omelette with ham slices as the second hot option. On the fourth day there were egg patties and sausage patties but the cold cereals had disappeared from the buffet. So it can be slightly erratic. "

"We love this hotel! It feels smaller and very service oriented. The staff were amazing! The Gold service was absolutely excellent with a wonderful breakfast each day and friendly and professional Concierge. The location of the Fairmont Winnipeg is also perfect for all sorts of walking or exploring cafes, bars and restaurants in the Exchange District. Love it!"
