"Everything is clean and works fine, except a weak cellphone signal (not to blame the hotel), but also some problems with the WiFi (worked on Laptop, but didn't connect my Android-Cellphones). There's no A/C in the hotel, so make sure, if you stay there during hot summer days, to a room with a window to the east side. Excellent breakfast!"

"We have stayed here several times over the years and always enjoyed a friendly welcome and a relaxed way of going on. We enjoy the typical German style of a family owned, host on site experience... and the breakfast is good! Excellent location too. Bochum town centre is only a few minutes away on the frequent tram which stops nearby. Would recommend Haus Vocke to anyone!"

"The staff seemed to be upset with me when I cancelled our breakfast reservations for the next morning. The next morning when asked if we were eating they were surprised that we weren't even though I had cancelled the night before. No elevator......difficult to carry suitcases up 2 to 3 flights of stairs. Wish we would have seen this when searching for a place to stay. Didn't see that this was mentioned when looking at the amenities of the hotel. Staff wasn't very helpful with finding our...

"First time staying here. Wonderful location next to the lake. Excellent breakfast. Bathroom was a little small ...maybe other rooms have a bit more space. Would defintely return."
