Updated Oceanfront Beach House

The "Pink Pelican" was completely renovated in June 2020. We recently replaced living room furniture as well to seat more people. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is perfect for your family getaway. Downstairs consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen + a full size crib, and a spacious bathroom. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 King, 1 Queen and 1 Twin and a spacious bathroom. All mattresses are Tuft & Needle and have mattress protectors on them. All 4 bedrooms have smart TVs, as well as the living room. You will be able to stream from your favorite serivces on all tvs. All TVs also have the Sling App for basic cable use.

The kitchen is equipped with all of the things you will need.

Enjoy sitting on the new deck with your coffee or cocktail and listen to the peaceful ocean waves. For those with little ones, we installed a locking gate at the top of the deck.

We do not provide linens; guest will have to bring their own sheets and towels. Linens can also be rented from Sharon's Linens. If you wish to rent linens, please let me know when booking as we set it up through our cleaners for a seamless process. Additionally, they offer beach gear and additional baby gear if needed.

We have a high chair, booster seat, full size crib, and baby gate for families staying with small children.

Publix and Food Lion are located on the island and less than 5 minutes from our house.

We have a list in the beach house of our favorite places to order take out or go eat at!

Absolutely no pets or smoking.

Renters must be 25 years of age.

Summer rentals are done weekly Saturday-Saturday. Summer season is considered Mid June to Mid August.
Off season is available with a 2 night minimum stay.

Wonderful Stay!

This home was just lovely. It was nicely furnished with everything we needed. It was very clean, as well. We love staying right on the beach, and we’d definitely come again. Highly recommend!

Family getaway

Amazing house and vacation

The house is very well equipped. I brought paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags and dishwasher soap with me and was shocked to see the home owner provided all of this for their renters. The home was clean and the location can’t be beat!!

Beach proximity

Our group of four couples has rented several beach houses over the years, and I have to say, being on the beach is so worth it. And this one wasn’t outrageously priced. Being able to walk in the back door for lunch or get something we forgot was really convenient. The house is also perfect for couples or a larger family. Well stocked kitchen. Clean. Just be sure you notice that you have to bring your own sheets and towels.

Spectacular Week

Our stay at the "Pink Pelican" was terrific. The house is in a great location, with lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities close by. There is a Publix and a Food Lion within a couple of miles, seafood, barbecue takeout, coffee shops, donuts, ice cream- and we won Trivia at one of the bars. The house was very clean and bright, and really well appointed. Appliances are high quality and worked well (ICE MAKER in freezer!). The kitchen has all the pots, pans, dishes and gadgets you can possibly use. The dishwasher does a great job, so we didn't have to spend vacation time washing all the dishes. Beds are all really comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are in good repair. The living room has comfy couch & chairs. The dining table seats 8- and although we didn't need it, there's a high chair The front deck has rockers and chairs for morning coffee drinking , dolphin-watching, and afternoon drinks. There is a hose at the top of the stairs for rinsing off the sand after beach walks. And beach walking is the best. Sunrise & sunset can both be seen from the beach which is literally steps from the house. We easily walked a couple of miles each day. Communication with the owner was easy and comprehensive through the VRBO app/associated emails. They contacted us and replied quickly to our inquiries and comments. There is also a notebook with pertinent info in the kitchen area. I really hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again. You'll be so happy here.

Beach front convenience

Loved the location. So convenient to run back and forth to the house it was so close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with a great pantry cart for easily storing all our food. The beds were SUPER comfortable. Large screen TV. The only things we would have wanted would be a covered porch and pavement or gravel under the house. However we had a wonderful trip and would stay there again.

Great Week on OKI

Our Family Vacation

The key pad did not work. Had one key all week. The fan in the living room did not work nor the bedroom with the king size bed did not work. Tv in bedroom did not work. The chairs at the table I think a couple of them are broke we did not break them. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The set up of the house was good for our family. It was our first time staying in Oak island.

Fabulous!

My husband and I stayed at the Pink Pelican for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute! The house was right on the water with the beach access conveniently right next to the house! We spent a lot of time on the deck in the great rocking chairs and high top table/chair combo! Just perfect to watch the surf and wildlife!Even though we ate most of our meals out, we were impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with every pot, pan and utensil imaginable; as well as a full spice cabinet and dish and laundry detergent! We usually have to bring those items, but not here!!Our bed was very comfortable, which was also a bonus. The house looked fairly recently remodeled with new appliances and comfortable furniture. The open living concept was nice, but I imagine if we had a full house, it could be very noisy. We loved Oak Island and how family oriented and quaint it is- we hope to return soon!Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Oak Island Golf Trip

Great rental for a friends golf trip. Great courses less than 15 mins from the house. Wonderful oceanfront house with great layout with 4 Bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Back deck with ocean view was amazing to hang out on all day and night. Great open living space. House updated and clean.

Perfect place to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday!

Our daughter wanted to stay on the beach for her 16th birthday. After finding a few properties, I let her decide and, of course, she picked the pink house. It was roomy, comfortable and right on the beach! The beach wasn’t crowded and was beautiful. We ran into one issue and the owner was quick to respond. The house had everything we needed and was in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely go back!

It was nice for the price.

It would've been perfect if the AC worked while we were there. This was no fault of the homeowners and they tried to get the air guy out during our visit but he was busy. I guess somehow before our visit the air system reset itself and would only blow hot air. Luckily it wasn't super hot while we were there so we just opened the windows. Other than that the house was clean and looked like the pictures. The hosts were kind and very respinsive no matter what time of day we messaged.

This house was perfect for our trip! Enjoyed the view from the porch and living areas in the home. Easy beach access, all we needed for cooking, walking distance to the pier for our son who loves to fish.

Five Guys

We came up from South Carolina to celebrate with my son for his upcoming wedding. We were supposed to go fishing but it was canceled so we got to enjoy the house more than we were expecting. The cold wind kept us inside but we enjoyed the warmth of the coffee pot and kuerig plus the comphy couch and beds. Five of us were there and had more than enough space. Location was great and views were awesome. We saw sunsets and two dolphins near the beach right before we left.
