"My stay at Alohilani was ok. There are some clear pros and cons. Pros first, the location and view were excellent. Concierge and valet are great, very prompt and helpful. The food and service at Swell was enjoyable also. Cons, the halls smell strongly of mildew. The pool area leaves a lot to be desired; you must be in the pool to see the view. The room is cramped with very little counter space. The bathroom has a strange setup, shower in the corner with a small wall and no shower curtain. Water gets all over the floor when showering. The showerhead was dirty and the seat was in terrible shape. The no smoking policy is over the top, we were told we could not even light birthday candles as it may set off the sensors. The price of daily valet along with all the taxes and fees ended up being nearly $500 additional. I would not stay here again, the price does not match the experience."
