"Great hotel for visiting the Schwarzwaldhochstraße, and heading across the border to the Alsase region in France. We enjoyed the included breakfast to start off our day and had a nice dinner at the restaurant one evening. The staff was very friendly and multilingual and helped us with our limited Deutsch. The room was comfortable and thankfully well heated. Thanks to the management and staff for maintaining an historic hotel from the 1600s and keeping up with 21st century amenities. We look...

"Der Weg zum Haus ist super vom Vermieter beschrieben und sehr abenteuerlich. Das Haus steht in absoluter Alleinlage am Waldrand und direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Weinfelder. Traumhaft schön. Die kleine Auffahrt direkt zum Haus (ca. 50m) ist sehr steil. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Haus geht es ca. 50 Stufen durch den Garten zum Gebäude. Das Außengelände und der Garten könnten etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Oben gibt es eine wunderschöne überdachte Terrasse mit einem großartigen Blick auf Offenburg....

"Schon beim check in war das Personal völlig überfordert als man versucht hat zu zweit eine 6 köpfige Reisegruppe und meine Freundin und mich abzuarbeiten. Es wurde viel durcheinander gesprochen und uns am Ende der Schlüssel zu einem noch besetzen Raum gegeben. Nachdem ich das reklamieren wollte durften wir feststellen dass 2 Minuten später schon keiner mehr am Empfang war. Das sollte sich auch für die nächsten 30 Minuten nicht ändern. Besonders ärgerlich, da wir noch einen vollen Terminplan...

" There is something quite lovable about this old lady of a hotel, as it is called. The location is the best in town, and there’s something about it old style elegance that made us very very happy. Although it was only about 25% occupied while we were there in early August, everything in the property was kept perfectly clean and accessible. It looks wonderful from the outside, and the room was large and roomy, and just fine. It is not a place for people who want all the high-tech gizmos and the large televisions for those of us who like the old world style, This is a lovely place. "
