"Loved the weekend at this hotel. The food was excellent. The room was perfect. I loved my walk around the property before breakfast. "

"This cabin was amazing! My husband and boys had a blast catching trout right on the river behind the cabin. They also enjoyed the hot tub a few times. The walk to town was nice and convenient. Helen is small but filled with great finds and experiences. There are also many waterfalls within a half hour of the cabin that were breath taking! Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to be on the river and close to town."

"Did not use gym"

"We were there for a wedding and I booked 3 rooms through Experian. The way it is set up, it was like 3 different reservations and so our rooms were on separate floors. However the front desk was kind enough to adjust it so we could be on the same floor. Everything was SO CLEAN, breakfast was good, and our stay was so restful and comfortable. Thanks La Quinta!"

"The stay at Helendorf River Inn was overall decent, with a few notable strengths and one significant drawback. The location is a major advantage, as it is very close to downtown attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area on foot. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, which made check-in and the overall experience smooth. The room was clean and well-maintained, meeting expectations for comfort and hygiene. The outdoor pool area was a nice feature, although the water was not heated adequately, which limited its usability. The main disappointment, however, was the breakfast. It was falsely advertised as a continental breakfast, but in reality, it consisted mostly of pre-packaged items. There was minimal variety and little apparent effort put into offering a more substantial or fresh selection. Overall, while the service, cleanliness, and location were strong points, the breakfast offering significantly detracted from the experience."

"Pillows were horrible. The staff barely talked to us at check-in/out. Housekeeping was pleasant. Odd that there is no outlet near the mirror in the main area. We didn't get to breakfast until 9:30 am on Saturday, and there was hardly anything left."
