"The only positive note on this property is the cleanliness of the room. Stairwell is totally neglected since we used it because the elevator runs at a very slow pace. Everything in the room is of the lowest quality, from the sandpaper TP to the towels and the shower head that is extremely dated filled with calcium and I could not stand under to rinse. Upon arrival the man at the front desk is as welcoming as ornery bear. On the last day of the weekend, I ask if I could have an extra hour for late check out and he gave poor excuses and told me I would be charged for half a day. Unless you are okay with bare bones minimum and no hospitality I would not recommend this place when there are so many other options in Wildwood. "
"The host was very friendly, but a lil bit slow in replying back to any questions u may have. But we had a lovely stay, the house is very beautiful, older home, very open, and well equipped for a family with children and pets. Everything is there, for a dog and children and of course, the parents...The home has a few flaws, needs some work, great hot water, water pressure cud be a lil stronger but the hot water is hot, u just have to let the hot water run, for a couple mins, til it gets hot. The upstairs bathroom cud use some towel racks. But as I said, it's great for a family with children and a dog or two....the furnishing is great, and it's very comfortable. So come stay at the shore house...I enjoyed it I'm sure u will too...."
"I think your dates are one day off as shown on the left side of my screen. I checked in September 20, 2025 and checked out the following day on Snday September 21, 2025 as such. Young man at the office was polite and helpfull. I stayed in room 301 and there was a strong unpleasant odor in the room, which is true of almost all of the old hotel rooms in North Wildwood. Bathroom sink was backed up from the very beginning and the hotel staff had to have known this and did nothing about this. Toilet area was rediculously small and my face was practically in the stopped up sink. Window curtain would not close all the way. I decided to just sleep on top of bed. Everytime I walked up the staircase I had to walk past a man who was constantly smoking a strong cigar. The parking spaces were way too close to each other and hard to park. The location was the only good thing about this hotel, close to boardwalk and right at the intersection where Jitney shuttle bus picked up people going to Irish Festival. My suggestion for this hotel is the same as my suggestion for most of the other hotels in North Wildwood: completely demolish this hotel and build a brand new hotel in the same location and ban any cigarette smoking on the premises. There are more non smokers in New Jersey than smokers. Completely separate a smoking hotel from a non smoking hotel. I paid $180.00 for one night and this hotel room should have only been $50.00 per night in the condition it was in."
"Loved my stay at White Caps, not the most luxurious motel in Wildwood but the room was great for what we needed and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had a nice kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator, and the beds were king sized which is rare for a motel I’ve ever stayed at. It is a block and a half away from the boardwalk/beach which is amazing. We went in October so it was the off season but the price was unbeatable and they even upgraded our room for free. I will definitely look to stay there again in the future. "
Newly Renovated 3 Bedroom with High-End Finishes Only 2 Blocks from the Beach!
8/10 Good
"It was Irish Weekend (we knew nothing about this), so North Wildwood was pretty crowded. The walk to the beach, boardwalk, and playground were manageable even for a 4 year old. As for the house itself, the bedrooms were adequate though small; there were no bureaus in which to place clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases. We couldn't find any oven mitts in the kitchen (which was well-equipped otherwise) and the small size skillets should be replaced, as the coating is coming off the inside surfaces. Management company was very responsive when we contacted them regarding some lights that were not working, the AC not working (that's on me, since I missed that the circuit was turned off), and the shower in the bedroom wing leaking out onto the floor. We appreciated them changing the AC return vent filter, which was really dirty; I can send a photo if you'd like."
