"I had a wonderful stay at Oceana Cottages and would happily stay here again. My room was clean, comfortable, and private, and the host was friendly and accommodating when I asked about arriving early.
The location is excellent. It's close to Provincetown, whale watching tours, the Atlantic Spice Company, Truro Vineyards, Wellfleet, and some of the best beaches on the Cape. If you're traveling solo, as I often do, I felt completely safe during my stay.
One of the things I appreciated most was having access to the bayside beach right across the street. Parking can be expensive on Cape Cod, so it was nice to have a beautiful beach nearby without feeling like I needed to drive to the Cape Cod National Seashore and pay for parking every day. The beach is especially nice for shell collecting and is great for families with children. I didn't mind staying on the street side at all—I simply crossed the road to relax in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the peaceful bay views. On a clear day, you can even see Provincetown across the water.
There are also two delis nearby, which made grabbing breakfast or lunch easy and convenient.
One unexpected highlight of my trip was a truly unique experience. While walking along the beach, I came across about 50 longfin squid that had washed ashore. It was amazing to see a real squid up close. Two kind women joined me, and together we gently returned them to the ocean. I'd like to think most of them survived. I"
