"Such a great location - decor was fantastic, rooms comfortable (we slept in sooo late!)"

"The only critic I have is that the lobby need better air conditioning. There is one tiny one on the ceiling in the back of the room. There is no air flow, vent or ac unit by the check in desk. The staff are soaking wet and whilst checking in/out/or buying stuff I could hardly breathe and was extremely uncomfortable. The staff works very hard and are very kind. If i worked in those conditions every day I assure you I would not be as pleasant. So please reward them and get them one of those hang yourself single ac units above their desk. It wouldnt be that much of an expense a d they deserve it."

"I've stayed at numerous locations around Salem over the years. This hotel is my new favorite. It is perfectly situated on Essex street. We stayed in a micro king which was was really cool. The bed was a little raised and surrounded by windows so we felt like we were in a tree house. We could sit in the windows and look over the city. The town hall was right behind us. The food at the rooftop bar was really good and the views were great. The hotel staff actually called me, the day before to welcome me. I have never received service like that and I've done a lot of traveling. Everything was great. The only thing I didn't care for and this is the sliding bathroom door. I'm not a fan of those as they offer 0 privacy. But I would stay here again even with that door. Great place, great staff, great food. Excellent location.. you literally couldn't get a better spot in Salem. "

"Pet friendly-Large field at the back of property for pups to run around. Great location- 15 minute walk to Front beach and Bear Skin Neck. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely stay at the Rockport Inn and Suites again"

"The only problem was I stayed here with my grandchildren for the pool. It was out of service"
