"Quiet area, nice owners and bar staff. A nice rustic countryside feel. Some wear and tear around the property and in the basic bedroom, could use some love (springy mattress). Not any shops nearby but plenty of pubs. Water in the room would have been good. "

"We needed an overnight bed and breakfast option after attending a wedding at nearby Farnham Castle. Dawyk Beech fitted the bill perfectly and was less expensive than an overnight at the castle. Our en suite room was a very generous size overlooking the lovely garden with a comfortable king bed.
We needed to check in before the official time of 4.30 to get changed for the wedding and wouldn't be back at the guesthouse until after midnight. I called ahead of our stay to confirm this was OK and Nigel, the owner, was very accommodating.
Marvellous 'Full English' for breakfast the following morning! We had a very enjoyable (if brief) stay and would thoroughly recommend Dawyk Beech. "

"Good and spacious house, with great communication from the owner. A couple of down sides though: not enough small spoons/forks and bedding provided for the numbers of guests, and the conservatory was way too cold to sleep, even with the heater on. But it would be fine during spring/summer."
"I was really pleased with the accommodation, and found it really nice. I was dropped off, so did not require the parking which was directly outside and free. The room was comfortable, breakfast bits provided and the shower facilities although not ensuite were at hand and served me well. I would stay again."
