"Upside: Excellent and Friendly and helpful Staff. lobby was stylish and spacious. Close to Cannery Row and the Aquarium with a short drive. I would stay here again if going to Monterey, because of the beach Access. Lantern room food and services were Outstanding. Did not see a lot of children but those we did see were well behaved. Fire Pits and smores at night is wonderful. Downside: cleanliness outdoors is tough to keep up with the Birds just be careful. other than that the property is Great. in room coffee maker was noisy and just plain terrible. the daily Comp wine was - well Comp Wine - don't expect too much. A little improvement would go a long way if the safety rails on the upper floor walk were Plexiglas so you could stay in room to watch the ocean wildlife easier."

"The rooms and bathroom seem to be remodeled, so it felt clean and new. We had a classic suite which has two queen beds and one king bed in two separate rooms. It is spacious and comfortable. Even though it looks like more a model from exterior, inside it felt more comfortable than a typical 3-Star hotel. Plenty parking. There is a 7-11 and Safeway close by so easy to get food. Overall, very comfortable stay."

"Came for an anniversary with my partner, and honestly was the best choice we could’ve made. Loved the room and amenities. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. A huge shout out to Diego, when we told him we were there for our anniversary, he made us feel very special."

"Our stay here was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. We loved that there was not carpet in the rooms. The only downside was that you can clearly hear the people above you and beside you whenever there was any sort of movement. You couldn't really hear voices, but you could hear them walking around and moving things and flushing the toilet. We loved the little latte machine in the lobby area!"

"I knew that this was a 'budget friendly' hotel. It was no frills as expected, but clean and comfortable. There is little sound supression from the overhead room which was noticeable, but once they quieted down, there was no problem. Please note that they add a $100 'deposit' to one's credit card which I was not expecting. I assume that will be refunded right away in my case. The motel was in a quiet and safe neighborhood very close to Monterey, which was great."
