"This is the first negative review I’ve written on VRBO and we use VRBO quite often. We rented this place during New Years. Our toilet was plugged and we could not get hold of the manager by phone or email. We ended buying a plunger ourselves and unplugged the toilet and left the plunger for future guests. On the day of check in, we did not get the address and access code until almost noon after I repeatedly called and emailed. We had a 6 hour drive and not having an address made it quite...

"The room was fairly clean, although there were definitely pee pee stains from I'm ( I hope ) assuming someone's dog in our room at the balcony door that had obviously never been properly cleaned. The shower head was a Temu special and sprayed as much water at the joints as it did the head. *Pro tip, shower at night, because there's NO hot water in the morning. Front desk guy was very nice and very chatty. We ate at the restaurant, and apparently they were having staffing issues that night, so there was technically one gal working the whole restaurant. She did an incredible job and makes a killer Cosmo! All the negatives aside, it was a truly relaxing place to stay, loved the rockers on our balcony and the view was really nice."

"My stay was really good. I will be back next year to stay in the same suite, if available. The suite was huge and it had it's own bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. The AC in the room was awesome. The lighting was good. We had a full kitchen with all the basic necessities from the stove to the dining table. The staff was knowledgeable about the fishing and advised us so well, we caught fish... I have not caught a fish in 25 to 30 years until I stayed here. Plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. I recommend staying at the Shaver Lake Village Hotel."
