Beautiful room and location, complimentary tour of historical homestead is a highlight. Breakfast hamper is gourmet and full of variety and delicious local produce. Staff are welcoming and clearly passionate about Tocal college, farm and homestead.

We stayed here two years ago and decided to book in again for last wekend while staying in the Newcastle area. The whole setup is supurb, lovely rooms, a friendly couple who run the place, delicious breakfast and a really handy location.

Every thing was perfect. Massive bathroom. Large outdoor area..great location.

After being a little scepticle of the cheap price we payed for a 2 bedroom apartment we we're blown away by the modern facilities and comfort we received by the staff. Great place to stay would recommend it to anyone that stays up that way.

Port Stephens is one our favourite places, we've stayed at many places in the area over many years, from our recent stay, the Anchorage is by far the best. We stayed in room 102, it was lovely, modern, a beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed, but we discovered a slight problem. There was a little mould in the bathroom but I wouldn’t let that stop me from returning could not fault anything else my room and pol area were amazing.

The room was so comfortable and clean. There was seating out on the balcony as well as a lounge and a chair inside, so you didn't have to resort to sitting on the bed! the bathroom was clean and spacious with a wonderful big bath. The hotel was amazing, peaceful and in a beautiful spot, in between the river and the ocean, and only 30 seconds from each! The proprietor, Gordon, was very friendly and helpful, and made it clear to us that he would provide anything we needed. He was a wealth of information on the area, including the best times and places to fish, and he made the stay that much more wonderful. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back! Would recommend these apartments to anyone.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay and were amazed at the beautiful location, these magnificent traditional buildings, the style and class of everything surrounding this amazing place. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, very quiet - the restaurant/food to die for! Staff just so helpful and lovely. We could not believe that we hit the jackpot with this booking! Loved the family room double bed and 2 singles. Room was clean and had milk tea/coffee and complimentary water in fridge. I found it to be a quiet area. Check in was fast and very friendly. Beautiful place to stay in for a weekend getaway. Pool was clean but there was a thunderstorm late afternoon when we arrived so never got to swim. We will be back. Beds were comfy had a fabulous sleep.

Very convenient, basically across the road from train station/light rail. Room simply but neatly designed and calming colour scheme. Very comfortable quality bed and pillow options. Stay deal had breakfast was great value and breakfast fresh tasty with all the essentials.
