"Friendly greeting after a long journey, and a great, modern room. The salad XII from the restaurant downstairs was excellent and I slept like a log. "
"On arrival I was upgraded which was amazing. All the hotel staff were pleasant, friendly and interactive with you. The room was lovely, huge bathroom with a bath and a shower.
The breakfast was more than adequate and included, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, sliced fried potatoes, sauces.
Fresh fruit juices, yogurt with numerous toppings.
Bread selection, smoked salmon, ham, turkey, cheeses, spread cheese, fresh cottage cheese, salad selections, olives etc, fresh fruit, and an amazing coffee machine, oh and pastries. Plus the biggest selection of jams, marmalade, honey, nut spreads etc.
Had a very enjoyable stay. We were central in the city and a fair walk to the Grand Place but I would recommend this hotel. Very close to bus links, tram links and the Metro."
"If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. The "experience" is everything you should expect when comfort, class, excellent service and quality meet cozy, quaint, elegant and welcoming, while rejecting ostentatious, pretentious and cold "luxury".
I travelled solo for work (attending a conference over the weekend at ULB) and arrived a couple of days early to explore the city.
My consistent litmus test for evaluating any hotel is: "Would I stay here again... voluntarily, on purpose?"
Here's my answer:
I WILL come back. I will visit Brussels JUST SO that I can spend 3 or 4 nights with my wife at this hotel and explore the city with it as our home base.
The location is perfect: a 5 minute walk from train stations and the Grand Place. You can do a LOT of convenient "touristing" without long cab rides.
The shower should be considered a sinful pleasure. The room includes welcome chocolates, a Nespresso machine with pods, and complimentary Aqua Panna bottles.
The breakfast is out of this world amazing: 2 glorious coffee machines and a spread worthy of kings.
The front desk, restaurant and overall service was genuinely helpful, caring, always professional and extremely welcoming.
This hotel is a no brainer, best value, super enjoyable experience."
