The quaint Swinton Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a memorable family retreat.

Located in the oldest section of Niagara-on-the Lake, this century old home is only a 2 minute stroll to the downtown Queen Street area, where you will find world class restaurants, the Shaw Festival and local boutiques. You can also visit some of Ontario’s most famous wineries.

The Swinton Cottage (circa 1890), has been lovingly restored and features all the original charm with all the modern amenities.

Very comfortable, everything we needed was stocked. Nice quiet street. Perfect location to historic downtown and St Catherine wineries. Recommend checking out 13 Street winery and Butterfly Conservatory!

delightful cottage, closed to downtown

It's a lovely cottage, with all the amenities you'll need. And it is only a short walking distance to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Shaw Festival. We hope to return someday.

Great location

The house was clean & had the amenities we needed. We would have liked having a blender for smoothies for all the yummy fruits we got. We were close to the charming downtown so we could just walk to go shopping and found many wonderful restaurants.

Quaint cottage

We stayed for 3 nights, attending a wedding. Everything was great! Just one suggestion, trm back the shrubs lining the driveway as it was difficult to open car doors.

Wonderful stay!!!!

We had an awesome week at this beautiful, cozy cottage! It was a perfect location with just minutes walking distance from main strip. We found it to be very spacious for our family of four (including our 19 and 13 yr olds). There was one bedroom with queen bed and a loft upstairs with a single bed and big double bed. A sun room in back of cottage has pull out couch. The backyard was very small and we really couldn’t enjoy it or the bbq because both didn’t seem too inviting! There is so much to do and see that it really didn’t bother us! It was wonderful to sit out on the front porch for a little down time! Would highly recommend because of the location, convenience, space and cleanliness. Luisa, one of the hosts, was wonderful to deal with. Very kind and prompt to reply. We all loved it here!!!!

Cute cottage in old town

We loved our stay at this cute cottage. It is actually much larger than we expected and lots of room for the entire family. We were 5 adults and we had plenty of room to sleep, dine and relax. The details in the decor and the cottage layout are great. We enjoyed the BBQ and found the kitchen to be stocked with everything needed to cook as needed. The location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk from the main street for shops and dinning in NOTL. The hosts were easy to reach and check in was a breeze. Would definitely recommend for a short stay with family or friends.

We loved our time at Niagara on the Lake. The location was perfect for our adventures. Overall, the cleanliness of the place was good but the slipcovers could have used a cleaning as well as the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen was well supplied and we had plenty of room to be together.

What a gorgeous historic house. We loved how you kept the charm of it intact, while providing enough modern conveniences to not make it challenging. The yard could use a little love (the vegetation needs a little trimming). The outdoor dining table has one leg that’s holding on by a thread. Maybe just fix it or replace it? Other than that it was a wonderful property.

Extremely clean & fresh; well organized & stocked; tasteful decor. We didn't need much but there was a convenience store within 2 blocks. Quick responses from Ms. Luisa. Property was nicely kept. I would've liked to stay longer (and 10/10 would book again when returning to the area). Area felt safe and we enjoyed being a five minute walk from the busier areas. Reviews are really based on personal preferences and traits - as someone who values planning ahead, clean uncluttered environments and warm atmospheres, this property felt like home to us. Really cute and suited our needs perfectly. Thank you 🙏
