"I've stayed at the Passage House Hotel a few times as family live nearby. The rooms are spacious and were cleaned regularly during my recent 3 night stay. Improvements currently underway meant some facilities were unavailable but staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast room is very pleasant as it overlooks the Teign estuary and the breakfast itself is tasty and plentiful. There is also the option to eat and drink at the Passage House Inn a short walk away down by the river. Over the years the cost of staying has increased quite markedly and although some of this is understandable it can vary considerably as others staying for a family funeral were able to confirm."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Moorland Hotel Haytor and were very impressed from start to finish. The room was comfortable, well presented and had everything we needed, while the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, with the beautiful Dartmoor landscape right on the doorstep, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The service was excellent and really added to the overall experience. We also had brunch during our stay, which was excellent — a great choice of food, beautifully presented and very enjoyable. Overall, a lovely hotel in a superb location with genuinely friendly service. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it."

"There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back."
