"I stayed here about 2 years ago when it was under Sonder and we had a pretty positive experience! They advertise themselves appropriately so I knew we weren’t getting some snazz hotel by any means. Decided to go again this year because i know this is a great budget choice for the area. Location is stellar. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Parking was fine and right up to the hotel. Check-in was easy and convenient. Received texts during the stay checking in to see if we needed anything. But the cleanliness of the room….i walked in and took my shoes off and immediately felt dirt and debris on my feet. After 5 minutes I had black on my feet. Quite literally someone must have not swept. We did not pay for a balcony room so no windows or anything for airflow. It was SO humid in the room. More than it was outside by the beach. We ran our A/C on different settings to try to accommodate but the entire stay felt sticky. The bathroom did generally feel clean aside from the floors but you can see the wear on the sink drain, marks/stains on the walls. Bedside tables were sticky and had crumbs on it. It felt like staying in a trendier motel. The nearest stairwell exit by my room led us to pass a staff/cleaning hallway. So they’re not trying to really hide the behind the scenes from you. My husband wasn’t as bothered by it as me, especially because we were out most of the day and he wore socks in the room the whole time. I just never felt fully clean the entire stay. "

"The rooms are ok but the pool is very outdated. All the lounge chair are old and stained/dirty. The worst is the main lounge/restaurant. It took so long for someone to bring us water, then we had to wait another 10-15mins for a server to come take our order, then 30mins for the foods to come. And that's early in the morning with no hardly any guest yet. For the price that we pay, it does not meet the luxury standard by any mean. "
