"Conveniently located opposite the railway station, I thought this was a decent budget hotel. It was an old building but the room was clean and spacious and pretty quiet (I did stay on a Wednesday night). Some cosmetic issues (like a crack in the sink basin) so the place could probably do with a lick of paint and some modernisation but other than that I thought it was absolutely fine for an overnight stay. However there appeared to be no lifts so not a good idea to stay here if you have mobility issues."

"I really enjoyed my impromptu one night stay at the Blacksmiths Arms,the drive there was through beautiful country lanes,the building was full of character and interest.the Landlady and staff gave me a friendly welcome ,very helpful ,the room was very well presented great bed and sheets shower room immaculate. I had a perfect breakfast with Cumberland sausage I would recommend anybody to make a visit best wishes Michael Whitehouse"
