It is fine but no more . Expensive for that though. No fridge or amenities in the rooms . Old alarm clock with antiquated phone charger. Small rooms.

My wife and I love the older "grand" hotels, and the Lucerne fit the bill. Nice room with very comfortable beds, and four pillows per bed. Great restaurant and bar, and it was a short walk to Central Park after dinner. Close to the Museum of Natural History, and a fifteen minute stroll to Lincoln Center.

After recognizing that the hotel was too noisy and needing to check out I got the runaround from both Expedia and the Lucerne hotel. Expedia says I need to speak with Lucerne and Lucerne says I need to speak with Expedia. No accountability.

Everyone at the hotel was lovely -- friendly, helpful, etc. The room was fine - it was clean and comfortable. It was convenient for where we needed to be and very close to the subway. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again if I needed to stay on the Upper West Side.

The Air conditioner fan cannot be left ON so the entire unit kicks on and off all night and woke us up. An alternate thermostat typically fixes this and makes it better for valued guests.

Hotel was very clean and I like the location being in between Central Park and Riverside Park. Eduardo Hernandez, director of front desk operations, was extremely nice and very personable and professional. However, the front desk staff at my check-in was unfortunately not.

The building is lovely inside and out. I enjoyed the atmosphere of quiet luxury in the room and public spaces. Having NiceMatin adjacent was a great bonus. The staff were helpful, and helped arrange transportation to the airport. It enhance my visit to the city.

The Lucerne genuinely feels like a well-kept secret. I've rarely enjoyed a hotel stay as much as this one. I found the hotel to be clean, quiet, comfortable, safe, and convenient to so much of what I wanted to see during my visit. The value for the money is exceptional. All that would be enough to keep me coming back, but their in-house restaurant, Nice Matin, provided what may be the best, and certainly the fastest, room service I've ever had anywhere. Every meal was better than the last, and I still think about the ravioli I had on my last night. What an excellent experience. I'll be back as soon as my schedule allows.

I don’t like writing anything negative…my only issue was the check in experience. I found the individual to be dismissive and curt. I had a hot water issue, although resolved quickly was inconvenient. My floor was louder than any stay in the past as well. The doorman, house staff and restaurant experience were exceptional. I’ll be back I’ll chalk it up as a fluke at one of my favorite spots in NYC.

Our stay at The Lucerne exceeded expectations. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the area was convenient to Central Park, The Natural History Museum, and many places to eat. A must stay if traveling to NYC.
