Sorry to say we had a bad experience with this stay. The apartment wasn't cleaned properly - the floors were not mopped and extremely sticky (it sounded like walking on Velcro, we ended up buying our own mop to fix it), and worse we found marijuana edibles under one of the beds (not good, especially when you have kids).
The bedroom was too cold even when blasting the heat (the living room warmed up ok so the ventilation seemed faulty), and I was surprised to find there were no spare linens and blankets we could use for extra layers, making this issue even worse. The listing also said "Laundry" which one would naturally assume meant there was a washer and dryer in unit. But no, not even anywhere in the building, and there's no laundromat nearby. I asked the host about laundry and they said it was an "extra service". Then take it off the listing, please, because it's not included in the stay.
Only redeeming quality was the location: easy access to the subway and Manhattan. But you can get that, and more, with one of the hotels in Long Island City.
Not clean, found drugs, bare bones linens, inadequate heating, and misrepresented amenities. Overall: Bad.

Great apartment - clean, comfortable, and secure. It was easy to contact the host for any additional needs and they were very helpful and quick with their response. The location is great - close to subways and grocery store and coffee shop. I would definitely stay there again!
