"The hotel St James is our go to when in Manhattan. Convenient, good value, wonderful staff. The only thing on this trip was that the mattress was quite uncomfortable. We will still stay here again though as we’ve never had this issue before. "

"The hotel is in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes from Times Square, with plenty of great dining options nearby. The hotel itself is clean, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. The only downside to the room was that the restroom was quite small. The food at the hotel restaurant was very expensive and not the best, I feel there are much better options outside the hotel. Customer service, however, was good and met expectations. Overall, a solid stay thanks to the location and comfort, with a few areas for improvement. "

"Great property close to Times Square. Rooms are small with no fridge or microwave, but this is an old, historic, well-kept property that we would definitely return to. Get to know "Bobby the Doorman", he's been there for 47 years!! Breakfast at Friedman's was great."
