"Our stay at this sweet, historic little cabin could not have been better. The hosts were friendly and helpful, cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, and the surroundings were quiet, rustic, and beautiful. Be sure to read about the history of the place, and the "healing spring," in the building where you check in, and save time for a morning walk along the creek. And yes, the water is delicious. For less than the cost of a hotel room in Boone, we had the most restful and restorative night and morning of our trip. So glad we found this gem in the mountains."

"This is such a sweet cabin! The hosts thought of so many ways to make the stay extra special. Everything is very organized, clean, and cozy. I really enjoyed reading their books and magazines, admiring their decorations and walking to the river. We also enjoyed cooking, visiting nearby towns, and relaxing with game nights on the porch. I think I could live on their lovely screened in porch! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!"

"Very nice property. The owners were very nice and they stay on top of everything to make sure that your stay is a good one. The cabin was beautiful and we really loved the hardwood floors. It is only about 10 minutes from West Jefferson, which was really convenient."
Secluded Mountain A-Frame with Hot Tub, Deck Views & High-Speed WiFi

"The cabin was very cozy and comfortable, the property was beautiful, and it was about as secluded as you can get! We had everything you could reasonably ask for there. The kitchen had all the dishware and utensils we needed to cook in for most of the weekend, and West Jefferson was not a long drive to get to nice restaurants and other stores. The trail going up to the cabin was pretty rough though, PLEASE pay attention to the warning of needing a AWD/4WD vehicle. I had asked ahead of time if I would be fine with a 2WD truck, which I was when the trails were dry, but we got stuck going up the hill one evening as it was raining and had to call a tow truck to winch us out. I'm still giving 5 stars because everything else was great, Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals was great when I called to get suggestions for local towing companies, and she followed up with me to make sure I got the help I needed even though it was well after office hours."

"We had a great time! I got rave reviews from all of my friends. We especially loved the hot tub and pool table. Very conveniently situated next to the river. Nice fire pit that we unfortunately never got to use due to rain. Just be aware the cabin can get a little toasty in summer and the AC didn’t seem to do much."

"Such a beautiful place to get away. Quiet, clean , and a great view of the river. The porch is the best. It’s where you feel and see nature . Just note , it’s a long dead end dirt road to get there . We enjoyed our stay."
