"Great stay for MerleFest. The cabin is about a 45-minute drive to the festival, but it gave us a quiet, cozy place to relax and play music in the mornings.Access was easy with the key-coded lock. The cabin was very clean and exactly as pictured—tucked in the woods with a true log cabin feel, but with modern conveniences and thoughtful, homey decor. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped, including a single-serve pod coffee maker with a basket of pods provided.Nice extra touches like a welcome snack basket made it feel inviting. Despite the private, mountain setting, it’s very convenient—just minutes from stores like Walmart and Lowe’s, and a short drive to the charming downtown of West Jefferson.Would stay here again and highly recommend to others."

"This cabin was one of my favorite places we have stayed! It was very clean and comfortable. We loved it and can’t wait to come back. The location is very convenient to the city but you still feel like you are secluded. Also, we were able to get Door Dash delivery on the night of our arrival so we didn’t have to run back out to get food. We are looking forward to coming back here again."

"Wonderful property! Front start to finish, our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and relaxing. Check - In: Property was easy to locate and close to town as stated. Easy parking. Check in process was seamless and all info was communicated promptly ahead of our stay. There was even a cute welcome gift which was a great added touch!Stay: We LOVE this A-Frame. It was well thought out in layout which creates for a cozy, and comfortable space. It was just my husband and I and we felt we could’ve stayed a month! The property was clean and there was not a single thing we wish the unit would have had. From small details (tooth flossers, makeup wipes, and laundry supplies) to the best parts (awesome shower, great hot tub, and comfortable bed) no detail was forgotten. The finishes and decor were done very well with mountain charm. The location was close to the very walkable downtown and there is so much to do in the surrounding area. We didn’t NEED to contact the host, but had a couple curiosity questions and the host was extremely prompt in responding. We ended up using the grill each night instead of eating out because it was so nice to be at the property. Check out: Easy peasy with a reminder message and a minimal “tidy up” checkout process. Overall this was a well thought out property and seems to be very well run. We look forward to returning in the future. Until next time!"

"Several notable shortcomings:-Two streets with identical names (Hillside) within 1/2 mile of each other. Knowing which one was ours would have been helpful.-No front drapes-leaving a clear view into the living room from outside!! (and neighbors 150 feet away-a dumpy-looking trailer). There are two large glass front doors, each 6ft x 6 ft. There were curtain rods above these doors, but no curtains. We bought shower liners to make do.-Liquid hand soap in the bathroom was about 90% water. -Living room TV hard to figure out-guest book says it's a Vizio TV, but it isn't. We eventually found a Samsung remote in the bedroom that worked-turns out the LR TV is a Samsung. -Crumbs and debris in between LR sofa cushions.-A few minor maintenance issues: bathroom faucet drips, foot switch for trash can in kitchen doesn't work, dish soap bottle in kitchen was empty. (Pods were available for dishwasher)-Trash setup: guest book says you are allowed 1 bag of trash per bedroom. Doesn't matter how long you are staying. If you have more, you have to take it to the county dump. And you have to scan a pass card to get in, and then return the pass to the property's guest book. So you can't just hit it on your way out of town.At these prices, I shouldn't have to take my trash to the dump; and there should be drapes, and actual soap in the containers. PROs: Comfy bed, quiet, good shower, lots of space in master bath. Plenty of towels."
