Great First Stay with Vrbo
Never having used one of these services before, I was a little nervous. However, this property was great. Loved having a washer/dryer, came in super handy. Very cute place overall. Only minor inconveniences: some stains on the sheets made us unsure if they had been washed, and there was not an extra Q set in the house, so we washed them. Turns out it was just stains, but I'd probably bleach them or leave them as a backup in the closet & put some new ones on. Also, there's a "New Orleans smell"... I think it's the water (it was always stronger after flushing) but at first we thought it was from someone having an animal in there, maybe on the throw rugs. An automatic air freshener would do the trick, we got some Febreze and it made all the difference. Loved being a few miles from the fairgrounds but still far enough out to NOT be touristy or sketchy. Great diners and easy shopping right down the road, close to Chalmette Battleground Memorial. Would definitely stay again!

Family Reunion
This was a nice property. The cottage was cute and comfortable. Close to stores and restaurants. It never took long for Uber to get there and the rates to Downtown were very reasonable, especially compared to parking your own car. Would definitely recommend.

Start of spring break
We arrived and the owner had sent me all info we needed a few days beforehand, it was great that there was a binder full of informative advice on where to park and eateries and to watch out for SCAMMERS. Definitely a great stay.

We had trouble getting in every time using door key. TV did not work. We heard gun shots so we checked out a day early. I wouldn't stay there again we. didn't like the neighborhood.

Great everytime we stay here!
This was our 3rd trip to Arabi and the Mardi Gras cottage and once again, everything was clean, quiet and a bit like coming home. We just love the little place and Michael could'nt be more welcoming. I don't think we'll ever be staying anywhere else when visiting the NOLA area!

Even better the second time!
Coming back to this cottage again made our vacation in NOLA so much nicer because we already new the lay of the land and the cleanliness of the place made us feel so at home!!. Michael always hands on for anything with a laugh and great advice on restaurants and surrounding area. So much better than staying in a hotel!! We are looking forward to our next visit already! Tranquil and convenient hideaway
We stayed here during a cross country move (after leaving our house but before travel) and this space was perfect. It had everything a traveler could want, and as a bonus there was a lovely outdoor covered patio. We enjoyed using the kitchen and we appreciated the laundry facilities. The hosts are friendly, communicative and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

Lovely
The neighbors were nice, the accommodations were nice. Michael was awesome. The neighborhood was close to the fun, but felt safe. The only minor downside was the bed/couch in the livingroom was uncomfortable to sit on for visits. We would 100% recommend this place.

Great little house
This property was great to bring our dogs to. The only thing I would say is to maybe get a chair for the livingroom. The day bed does not provide comfortable seating.

Quiet place away from the noise.
Felt like a real retreat. We didn't use it but nice to have a full kitchen. We loved the covered patio. Jasmine and begonias smelled wonderfull in the yard. A bird and butterfly haven. Michael was very nice and easy to deal with. Thank you!!!

Nice place
It was quaint. Very nice small house. Owner was available when called on for few wifi issues. Location was convenient enough. Nice neighbors. Very cozy outdoor area. Wonderful nutmeg smell in the patio area, and i never figured out which plant it was...Id surely stay again. Only issue was, needs curtains for privacy in living room. We hung towels at night over windows. Nice match stick blinds and decor though...good value. Pretty place. Thank you and I loved it.

Outstanding place to stay
This is a great place to stay in New Orleans. It is very safe, looks just like the photos, has a beautiful yard to enjoy with a shaded area with seating, great for a dog, and with very gracious and generous hosts. It’s in a nice neighborhood and the unit is very clean with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. The host has fantastic restaurant recommendations and NOLA has the best food. It is a short 20-minute drive to the French Quarter where we went to the New Orleans School of Cooking for a cooking class that was fun and delicious. We highly recommend this unit and the hosts. Thank you!

Michael was a great host! When we had questions he responded to messages right away. We tried several of the restaurants he recommended and they were all great local spots to eat. The cottage was a great spot for us to stay while visiting New Orleans.

Great place when visiting Nola!
The cottage is located in the backyard of a larger home that is also a rental. Not only is it spacious and clean, it's also only 13 mins from the French Quarter and has everything you need to truly feel at home. Full kitchen stocked with everything you need including a coffee maker and coffee/ creamer. The outdoor space has a large, comfortable sitting area overlooking a beautiful backyard. Parking and entry to the cottage are very convenient as they are fully paved. There is a 24-hour market and donut shop just minutes away. I will definitely be booking this cottage along with the main house the next time in im Nola.

Nice Manager, Disappointing Place
Upon arrival to property you realize your driving thru sone questionable areas of town. When we located address we saw nothing that resembled the pictures we had seen. After calling the owner we realized the place was a group of “cottages” with multiple people on property. We thought we would be by ourselves with our dogs. There was no couch as pictured. Instead it had been replaced with a squeaky and uncomfortable daybed unsuitable for sitting and watching tv. Kitchen was tiny. Bathroom was especially small. There was no luggage rack so I had to get on floor to get my clothes out of suitcase and then put my makeup on in kitchen. Barstools at kitchen counter was only eating area and barstools in picture had been replaced with stools with no backs and too high to get legs under counter. Wifi and tv were sketchy at best and worked for two of four days we were there. Water faucet in kitchen leaked all over place. Grass finally got mowed late Monday evening. The Manager asked what he could do and we told him give us our money back. He laughed. Light bulbs were out all over. Not pleasant. Then the neighbor yelled at me because he had two huge dogs that were right on the privacy fence and my dogs barked when they were out to pee. He screamed that he lives there and did not ask to be by a b and b. He told me I was a guest and take my dogs inside. When we told the manager he chuckled. Not funny for me. We may never do a VRBO again. The cottage was a converted storage building.

WOW! I am thankful for the dozens and dozens of positive reviews over the last 10 years. When you drive though New Orleans (post Katrina) there are many sketchy areas, it just depends on which direction you come from. You just have to drive through them not live in them. We've never had a complaint about the neighbor. Also, it was your dogs barking not his. The luggage rack was next to the dryer in the closet. I have changed the kitchen faucet. Thank you for staying with us.

The place was great. Safe. Clean and it was very comfortable. The shower is amazing! The fenced yard was the cherry 🍒 on top. My dogs loved it! 10-15 minutes to the French Quarter. Everything is close from this property.

Perfect spot
Perfect size for a couple, within great distance to everything including the french quarter. Neighborhood was very nice and safe. Dog friendly, my dogs loved it. Overall nice property
We loved the location of this property. It was within walking distance to a bus stop and we were able to get downtown, and also the owner left some great tips for driving downtown. Good food suggestions. Only complaints would be that the place while mostly clean, there are a few places that look like they haven't been touched in a while. Tops of photo frames, and vent grills for A/C were dirty. Some of the walls could use a good cleaning, or a new paint job. These are minor things. Overall, the property is very cute, and was very comfortable for my family of 4. The washer and dryer was a nice perk, so we could take clean clothes home instead of having to do laundry upon returning home. I would recommend this property, I just hope they do a spring cleaning on some of the overlooked spots that can stand out if you are looking around. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Perfect for our first NOLA visit!
This property was absolutely perfect for our first NOLA experience. It is only a few minutes from the quarter, but far enough away to avoid the excess noise. My boyfriend, brother, and I had plenty of space with the 1 bedroom & pull out daybed (never actually got pulled out 🤷🏻‍♀️). The owner was extremely responsive and helpful, walking us through how to find/reset the router when we had issues with the tv connecting to the internet, and letting us check in a little early when we got to town sooner than anticipated. The outside patio area was perfect for people who smoke or vape, just remember your bug spray! Only complaint was the bathroom vent fan sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Over all, will definitely book here again! :)

Perfect for us.
The property was perfect for me, my husband and our two dogs. The house was not on a busy street which was nice. It wasn't that far of a drive to the French Quarter for us or to take an Uber at night. Loved the cute back yard that was all fenced in and secure. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Perfection in New Orleans
Its immaculate. The cottage was very secure and in a good neighborhood. It has everything you could need for a great stay. The interior is very modern and clean. It's obvious it's well cared for. It's far enough from the New Orleans party life but still close enough if that's what you're interested in. We stayed here for a visit to the WWII museum and it was perfect. We sat out on the patio and took note that it obviously cleaned regularly. The yard and patio are behind a tall fence so you have lots of privacy. The wifi also works great. Off street parking was just outside the fence and easily accessible. Overall it was fantastic and we would definitely recommend staying here.

This is New Orleans sir. We are proud of our neighborhoods. Especially this one which is zip code 70032. One of the safest zip codes in the New Orleans area. Absolutely as safe and quieter the residence inn in Metairie where you decided to stay. I can only guess that you must live in a gated community. I just hope our future guests read ALL of our reviews not just yours.

This property was 4 miles from the French Quarter and everything was easily accessible. Place was near and clean. Great little yard for the dog and patio for hanging out. As we were driving through other neighborhoods on our way to Arabi we were a little concerned, but there was no reason. It was a very safe neighborhood

Came down from Ohio for a much needed vacation from work and life. Lots I didn't get to do but did enjoy what I did get to do. Great property owner and nice place to stay. Left behind a pizza pan, 4qt Skillet with lid, & small Skillet as these weren't there and hope someone else will enjoy them. I can't wait to come back down.
