"Old hotel but rooms were clean & bathrooms was very clean. Would rate this hotel a higher score over a lot of chain hotels. I would book this hotel again."
"Nothing too fancy, but after all, it provided precisely what I wanted at a reasonable price, a clean, comfortable, safe place to sleep. Very happy with the value, and will certainly remember it for the next time I'm passing through the Cumberland area. "

"This was a darling place. We loved it and the charm of the place. The food in the restaurant connected with the inn was delicious and a great way to start or finish the day."
"Beautiful spot and very comfortable. Easy access to many beautiful places, like Swallow Falls, New Germany State Park, Deep Creek. Loved the Amish presence with horse and biggies going by, and don’t miss Dawdy House, coffee and food nearby. Great spot for children—farm animals to pet and a playground."
Alvie House: 5 min from Wisp&DCL, Outdoor Fire Pit, Fireplaces, Country Kitchen
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay!! Plenty of room to hang out in different spaces in the house. The best stocked kitchen we have ever experienced. We had our family reunion there and enjoyed nearby activities and then relaxed in the evening at the fire pit in yard with plenty of chairs for everyone. Thanks so much for our stay. "
Spacious forest retreat with grill, firepit, game room, & jacuzzi tub - dogs ok
10/10 Excellent
"This house was great and most importantly spacious enough for two young families with kids to share for a weekend. Although we didn't bring our dogs this time, it's great to know that's an option. And I do have to say that there was no evidence of former pet guests if that is of any concern to potential bookers- very clean, no stains, no smells. We have family in the area and have already talked about booking future stays now that we have young kids and need more space than staying with relatives tends to afford.
