This was my first time in the Hilton Nay Pyi Taw.
The lobby is very bright and luxurious, the staff professional, friendly and English speaking, and check-in was overall a good experience.
The rooms are spread across a few buildings, which are just a few hundred meters from each other. This is quite common in NPT. They have small electric buggies to take you to your building if you do not wish to walk in the heat. This is great to get there, unfortunately the buggies are all parked in front of the lobby, so getting back from your room to the lobby is less smooth.
The good: Suite size, cleanliness and comfort. Friendliness of Staff, who speak English.
The Decent: Good breakfast, but no maple syrup for pancakes :( . Room service. Price point.
To be improved: Suite not air-conditioned when I arrived (takes about 1-2 hours to cool), minor fixtures and fittings needing repair (closet doors, drops falling from the ceiling under the air-conditioning unit), no staff at the building 2 front desk and no buggies stationed there either, Gym a bit small (5 people and it feels crowded).
I would return to this hotel as I feel it hits a good price point for the overall quality and service. Maybe the rooms located in the same building as the lobby are used more frequently and thus maintained in better conditions, I'll see next time. The minor issues were no big deal for me so I only mentioned it when I left, I didn’t try to get a new room.
