"We booked and paid via hotel.com BUT when we arrived the manager explained Expedia instructed him to charge us for the room. We spent 2 hours chatting with hotels.com whereby they promised to refund us, so we also paid cash (so double) while waiting for hotels.com to refund us. BUT we now received a email explaining they could NOT get in contact with hotel and will NOT REFUND us! "
"This is a lovely resort with a nice pool and immediate beach accces. The restaurants are really great and breakfast is varied and filling. The room was slightly dated but clean with a nice view of the sea and resort. You can also quite easily walk around the area but everything you need is within the resort."
"We stayed here for a few nights at the end of March. It is a small place right on the beach with more of a B&B style feel. Our room was maybe a 30 second walk to the beach. The room itself was very basic; small fridge, bed with mosquito net, no tv, and basic bathroom amenities. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hotel chef was eager to please and show off his skills and we loved the food there. Some meals had to be ordered in advance and some took a while to come as they are all freshly cooked to order. No mass menu from freezer to microwave here!
We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an authentic Sri Lankan service and not a big 5* chain that could be anywhere in the world. "
