I had a wonderful stay at Royal Beach Hotel, Hikkaduwa. The hotel is affordable and perfectly located right by the beach, offering stunning ocean views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making the stay pleasant and restful. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. And the food was delicious with a good variety of options, and enjoying meals with a sea view was a highlight. I would highly recommend it and would love to visit again.

We had a truly wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff and owners made us feel genuinely welcome—so friendly, attentive, and caring throughout our visit. The beachfront location is unbeatable, with stunning views and the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. The food and cocktails at the hotel’s Lumina restaurant were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the highlights was enjoying live music as the sun set over the ocean, creating such a magical, memorable vibe. An incredible experience all around, and we can’t wait to come back.

I had a great stay at Royal Beach Hikkaduwa. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. View from the hotel was just amazing. Just in front of the main surf point and you can watch surfers every evening while enjoying a cold beer. Food at their Lumina beach restaurant and bar was excellent. I had cocktails also. They had live music sessions and they also have 50% cocktails happy hour every day from 05:30 -06:30pm. Nothing beats watching surfers with a cocktail in hand. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be back again.

I had a perfect stay at Royal Beach Hikkaduwa. Room was spacious. Room was very clean including nice and fresh linen. They always asked me if I need any help and was really helpful. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had lunch and dinner at there Lumina Restaurant and Bar. Food and cocktails were amazing. Hotel is just in front of the beach and honestly it looks like a paradise. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who travels to Hikkaduwa. I will definitely come back next year for sure.

Rommet var slitent. Ingen nattbord ingen klesskap eller skuffer å ha klær i. Maling flasset fra vegger, vifte i taket virket ikke. Dør til badet gikk i vranglås. Taklampen på badet blinket, ingen steder å ha toalettsaker og veldig harde senger og puter. Strandhånkle som ble levert inn ble ikke vasket så du fikk håndkle andre hadde brukt, fremdeles med sand og fukt! Møkkete gardiner og sengepynt. Mange som gikk rundt og ikke gjorde noe, med så mye arbeidskraft forvente ma at de holder ved like og styrer hotellet bedre. Fin beliggenhet rett på stranden og nyoppusset utvendig i bar/restaurant. Hyggelig personale
