This APA Hotel is a 5-minute walk to the Kintetsu-Nara station and 8 minutes to JR Nara station. It's also 5 minutes from Kōfuku-ji and Sarusawa Pond (aka Nara Pond), with Nara Park just a little further in. Surrounding the hotel are shops of all sorts, and restaurants to satisfy any appetite. I will say that the restaurant prices are reasonable, considering the close proximity to tourist attractions. The hotel also offers laundry machines; perfect for travellers who don't like to bring a lot of clothes with them (like myself). Overall I was very satisfied with my stay. A much better experience than the APA Hotel in Osaka that I stayed at for part of my trip.
