"It was a great escape. Our attractions were ranged from 20 minutes away to 60 minutes. Easy to get back to when needing a break. My son is cognitively disabled and sensitive to noise, cabin was ideal for us. Eating out is stressful for us and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing our simple meals."

"The property was nice & clean, and a very short drive to amenities. We were so glad to find a VRBO in the area as it can be hard to find vacation rentals in smaller towns and cities. This worked out great for us as we were in town for a family reunion. We played tourist on Saturday morning getting donuts at the local bakery and checking out the farmer's market next to it. Wanted to check out the local bookstore, but did not get a chance. Maybe next time!"

"You can tell you're close to SonShine cabin by the Black-eyed Susan's dotted here and there on the side of the road. It mimics the way they are dotted in the landscape around the cabin along with some huge gorgeous ferns and lovely landscaped flower beds. The porch is nicely fitted with two rocking chairs and a porch swing that overlooks an expansive front yard. One of my favorite parts of this cabin was the tree swing. It was so nice to just bask in the peaceful surroundings while gently swinging away. Felt like I had not a care in the world. The inside of the cabin is just as cute as the outside. The first room I entered was the breezeway. It was so inviting and reminded me of my own childhood home. We loved the large reclining sectional in the family room. Plenty of seating and you don't feel like you're sitting right on top of each other. The bedrooms were nicely decorated with very comfy mattresses and there were more than enough bath towels. The owners were very nice, helpful and quick to respond before and during our stay. They mowed part of the field so I could watch the meteor shower but unfortunately it rained every single day and night. Nothing you can do about the weather.I would highly recommend Sunshine Cabin. It is very clean, well maintained, well stocked, nicely decorated and sooo relaxing. Have to give a shout out to the Red Pepperoni in Madison (YUM) and all the great small business shops on Main Street. It's such a wonderful small town. I'll be back!"

"This was the break we needed - the space was roomy, comfortable and very clean; the property was peaceful and we enjoyed walking down to the lake and a little paddle on the kayaks. Self check-in was a plus because we weren't sure of our timing. Also, it's a small thing, but I appreciated the Roku set-up that automatically logged us out of our streaming services on check out. Truly a great stay!"
