The best area to stay in Nantenne is the historic village centre, especially around the Place de l'Église.

The village centre is the heart of Nantenne, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. It's characterised by its traditional stone buildings, narrow cobbled lanes, and the prominent Église Saint-Martin. Most of the local shops, bakeries, and restaurants are clustered around the main square and along Rue de la Mairie. You'll find it's very walkable, allowing you to explore the village's charm on foot.

This area is particularly well-suited for couples seeking a romantic and relaxing getaway. The quiet streets, opportunities for leisurely strolls, and access to local culinary delights create a great atmosphere for a memorable trip. You can enjoy wine tastings at nearby vineyards or simply relax in a local café.

For those who appreciate a more rural and spacious setting, staying slightly outside the village centre, perhaps along the D980 towards the vineyards, offers stunning views of the Bourgogne countryside. These accommodations often provide more extensive grounds and a sense of seclusion, while still being a short drive from the village's amenities.

The best time to visit Nantenne is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) to enjoy pleasant weather and the region's natural beauty.

During these months, the weather is typically mild and sunny, superb for exploring the vineyards and countryside without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the landscape at its most picturesque, with blooming flowers in spring and the rich colours of the harvest season in autumn. These periods also tend to be less crowded than the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular attractions and restaurants.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway, late spring offers the chance to enjoy long, light evenings, al fresco dining, and the beauty of the gardens and châteaux in full bloom. It's an ideal time for leisurely walks and wine tastings without feeling rushed.

If you're a connoisseur of fine wines, early autumn is particularly appealing. This is harvest season, offering unique opportunities to see the vineyards in action and participate in special events related to winemaking.
