Our weekend stay was great for a family of 5. We had plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub was great. Beautiful background. Our one isaue was a problem with lock code which was resolved. Thank you.
It was raining form time to time during our stay in the island but we were very comfortable indoor when needed. The garden of the house was lovely and it was interesting looking at a couple of the young deer wandering there through the window in the morning we were leaving. The serene park nearby was great too and we did have a leisurely walk. It's really a relaxing stay at the property, just feeling like home, and a pleasant memory for us to keep in mind.
Awesome place, great space, very quiet area. Exactly as we had hoped. Was surprised (in a good way!) with proximity to local pubs/restaurants (dog friendly!). Only thing to share is to be prepared to hop in car for most everything other than fantastic walks in the neighborhood, not many amenities other than the marina cafe/restaurant within walking distance.
From booking to check out the property manager was helpful, responsive and so accomodating. The Hot tub was well maintained, water was hot and clean. We loved tgat the yard was fenced, our pups had a great time. The bedtooms were very spacious and clean. We loved our stay here.
Upon arrival, the door lock was dead. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get a code to the lockbox, because no one had the code. The primary bathroom sliding door would not close at all & they refused to fix it. My wife & I had to ask each other to leave the bedroom suite for privacy to use the bathroom. The owner taped a tiny fortune cookie paper-sized sign saying, “sorry it’s broken.” We were never told before we got there. The downstairs bathroom door had no lock. The ad says it’s pet friendly. There are many holes in the fencing so our dogs would get out. They said they would fix this then refused. The “fence” is also chicken wire, so a large dog would easily push through. The interior door handle to the front door falls off repeatedly. There was no dresser in the primary bedroom. When we said there wasn’t one the management argued there was one in one of the bedroom closets. When we told them there was no dresser in anyone’s closet, they refused to believe us. The fridge had a broken ice maker and water dispenser. A thick layer of ice made it hard to close the freezer drawer. Dog urine smell in every room of the house. Their gardener inexplicably came 3 times in 7 days. Once he entered the garage. Twice he had to water in the rain. He was supposed to come at 3; he came at 9 am. It took them 3 days to replace the broken garbage can. When we used the microwave & the toaster or the kettle, it tripped the breakers. And they refused to give us ANY money credit for all this.
