"Very convenient location, across the street from the train station. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and speak enough English to be able to communicate effectively. "We love Yuzawa as a get one night get away. We stayed here because someone in our party wanted a private Onsen in the room. The rooms are large and great for families. However, the property is a bit date and the in room tub was small. They have a beautiful waterfall. Too bad it’s not lit at night nor could we go outside to take pictures"

"Koshinoyado Takashimaya is a very traditional Ryokan, in the best sense! It is located in an ancient building that is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and caring, service was impeccable. The food was delicious, diner and breakfast alike. We have stayed in ryokans before, in various regions in Japan. Our stay here was one of the most pleasant experiences overall. Very much recommended!"
