Exactly as advertised - staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to Happo One and shuttles right at the door for Goryu / 47. Short walk to the main bus station for farther hills such as Cortina and buses to Nagano. Drying room for gear helps to declutter your hotel room. Breakfast is nice with just a little variety each day. Taproom restaurant food is pretty straight pub grub and has quick and friendly service (no yakitori any more). Would definitely book again if we return to Hakuba.

Pros: friendly staff, great location Cons: - found pubic hair on the bed and on the bathroom floor; - urine stain around the toilet rim; - staff who didn't know where the do not disturb sign could be found in the room. She offered to let the cleaning team know that we did not need room cleaning, but our room got entered into anyways. If you expect the Japanese standard of cleanliness and operation from this hotel, you would certainly be disappointed. It feels like a frat house to me that the staff worked together causally without the guidance from the management. I will not come back.
