"Very unwelcoming “lobby”. Elevator needs improvement. Rather depressing first impression. Room was basic but clean and comfortable for our quick stay. Pleasant staff. Bright breakfast area best space on the property."

"We had a horrible experience. The first room were given had a horrible wet mold smell and a filthy bathroom. We were placed in between about 5 rooms under construction, so there was a lot of noise until about 5:30 PM. Mold and rust all over the shower. When I tested the water, the spicket flew off of the wall and hurt my shin. When I went to the front desk, they apologized and gave me another room. No comps offered or anything. The next room was a bit better with less of a smell and cleaner bathroom. Not sure why we didn’t have an adequate room assigned to us in the first place. We stayed here about 6 years ago and it was fine, which is why we stayed. I advise anyone considering to pay the extra money to stay at the Hyatt or Holiday Inn."

"Location is great, immediately across from Mystic Seaport Shipyard, and since we were going to the museum, this was convenient. Also easy walking distance to downtown Mystic. Layout is relatively open with good circulation. Winder stair could intimidate some people, but owner has helpfully added an extra grab bar. We made use of many of the amenities including the sufficiently-equipped kitchen and the gas grill."
