"The view of Edinburgh Castle out of my window was amazing—a clean and lovely hotel. I must mention that the room did not have air conditioning, so I had to leave the window open at night, which was a bit loud until late because of the wonderful bars and restaurants in that area, but that view made up for it. "

"This is a very pleasant and modern hotel in a very good location. An excellent base for seeing the city. They don't do breakfast but there are seversl cafes within minutes' walk that do. Free drinks in the comfy lounge in the late afternoon is a good offer. The main downsides are that the rooms at least the one we had - are very small at the price, although well equipped. Our shower had a life of its own and was frankly something of a danger to life and limb. The staff are friendly, charming and helpful. They were very kind to our dog who was well catered for."

"I honestly wasn't expecting such a lovely hotel. Our Air BnB fell through (no heat nor hot water), and I was able to snag a solo room last-minute. Room, staff, dinner, and breakfast were all lovely. Even though a wedding was going on in one of the function rooms, the staff kept churning out superior service. Such a gem. Highly recommend!"

"We had a horrible stay. I believe one of the worst stays ever. We complained about the toilet not working properly and they said they would send someone to fix it. Then the room we had was Close to the front desk and we couldn’t hear a bang every time a door closed. Then the toilet totally backed up and ran water over the entire floor. They finally moved us to another room for are last night. A little too late. Not impressed"

"Fantastic stay at Code, Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Stayed in the deluxe double which was great and daily events list which was unexpected. Food great, cannot find fault in anything. Will definitely stay at code again next time in Edinburgh"
