Welcome to the charming seaside town of Morro Bay!

Fog & Stars cottage is a triplex located in the heart of Morro Bay and boasts an incredible view of the sunset, ocean, and the famous Morro Rock. As a guest of Fog & Stars unit 218, you’re just a two-minute stroll from the many colorful and fun establishments along Embarcadero Street and a five-minute drive to the beach. With your close proximity to both water and nearby woodlands, there’s no shortage of things to do. Activities include hiking on more than a dozen scenic trails, biking, kayaking, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, bird watching, whale watching and of course, cooing at the adorable sea otters and chunky sea lions.

After burning all those calories, you probably will be feeling quite famished. Don't worry! An array of fantastic restaurants are within walking distance of Fog & Stars cottage. Whether it be fresh seafood on Embarcadero street or spicy Thai food downtown, you will never run out of choices. Speaking of downtown, you can stop by the historic Bay Theater for the latest movie, then do some shopping at the quirky vintage shops the area is known for.

Feel like putting on your favorite sweats and staying in for the day? Well, the gel foam memory mattresses in Fog & Stars are perfect for you to luxuriate on and watch your favorite show or movie. We loved this place so much! It is perfectly located in the heart of all, but tucked away enough to feel private. The unit had all the amenities and watching the sunset each night from our private deck was the best. The owners were very responsive and the town itself is such a gem. We will happily be back!

Great location, great place!

You can't beat the location and the condo was terrific - comfortable and clean. We cooked most of our meals and found the kitchen had everything we needed. Great communication from the host. Would stay here again.

Quick weekend trip

We stayed here for graduation weekend in SLO hoping to spend some time away from the crowds. We really didn’t have much time at the unit but it was a great place and the patio was excellent for sitting in the afternoon, only wish we could have spent more time there relaxing to the sounds of the critters in the bay while watching the sunset over the rock.

Wonderful and walkable

We loved staying in this inviting and spacious apartment. It’s the perfect location to enjoy the town; close to shops, cafes and restaurants. And Davin was a lovely host. Highly recommended.

Just minutes - walking - from so much! Enjoy kayaking, shopping, eating … so much to do! The space was comfortable, clean, and inviting! Came for a wedding and stayed for everything else!

Gorgeous place to stay

What a gem! Ample free parking, walkable to the downtown and all the restaurants, easy to get in and out of, clean, amazing patio space, quiet… I could go on and on, but suffice to say, this is a great space and well worth checking out if you’re planning a stay in Morro Bay.

This unit is very comfortable and VERY well located just above the Embarcadero. We walk to restaurants, the garden center just below, the art gallery we like. Everything we need is in the unit. We’ve stayed here several times and enjoy it every time.

Amazing rental!

This property was one of my favorite VRBO stays of all time. It was spacious, had thoughtful amenities, a great manager and most of all an incredible view. We booked the property as a new rental and could not have been more pleased. The only thing missing was a hammock on the deck for an afternoon nap :) Can't wait to return!

Best place in Morro Bay

We have stayed in Morro Bay a few times, but this property beats anything we have experienced before. Best location, walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Beautiful views from your private patio overlooking the main street and Morro Rock in the background. The property is nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The owners are very welcoming and were great to deal with. I highly recommend it. Hopefully, we will have the chance to stay there again.
