"This is a very nice motel. There are healthy plants inside and outside rooms. Their breakfast selection is limited compared to other places we stayed but there is a great selection of toppings for oatmeal and the owner cook great eggs, poached or boiled, which I don’t see at any other places. However I think it’s rather expensive for what we got. When we arrived around 6:30pm, no one was in the office but I was able to get my room key from the counter. After I unpacked and returned to the office to get some drinking water around 7:30pm, the office was locked. It’s the most expensive night for our 16 day trip to the maritimes, with many other hotels that have better services but cost much less. It may justify its price for its location, but I may consider skipping this location if I travel to Cape Breton region again."

"We’ve travelled through North America and Europe and in our opinion, this property is a special place, with a gorgeous ever changing view of the water and a beach that we spent hours walking. I didn’t even notice the tv on site until the end because I was too busy with the views and walks. Our hosts, Heidi and Paul (and goldens Enzo and Milo), are warm, welcoming, and generous, and we loved everything about the cottage itself. My husband and I would have stayed there happily for weeks. I think that everyone who stays in either of the rental cottages on site will plan to become return visitors. We do."

"It was a very cozy, secluded cottage. There was everything we needed in the line of dishes for cooking and eating. It wasn't extravagant, but it was very welcoming,simple and comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend, just relaxing and spending time together. We would book this location again in the future. It was just what we needed. The host was very eager to help when we needed a few extra little things. There was a beautiful view over the lake."
