Brooklands of Mornington
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely spot, lovely people. Easy to get to and very clean with all the items you could need either provided or not far away at all. "
Large Beachside House + 2 Queen Studio Suites, Sleeps up to 12, on Mills Beach
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous property. We rented all three parts (upstairs and both self contained units) for our family reunion and it was perfect. We had separate spaces for adults and kids and then the huge living areas for communal time. The kitchen really is fitted out with everything you could ever need and we all loved the massive couch. Elle, the host, was great to deal with. Finally the location is spot on. The beach is just steps away and the shops an easy 5-10min walk. We loved watching the parrots nesting in the trees and glimpses of the sea from the balcony. It really gave us an Australian experience for our US cousins. Can’t recommend this place enough and would love to get back sometime soon."
"Overall room was ok, clean and tea/coffee making available. The bed seemed quite hard to my wife but was ok for me. TV did not work on free to air channels so could only get 9Now digital and couldnt download any other TV apps."
Stylish family friendly apartment in a great location
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean, lots of room and a 15 minute walk to all the great restaurants on main street Mornington. We were a little worried about noise as Nepean Hwy was at the rear, but with windows closed it was very quiet. Will stay again!"
MORNINGTON BEACH APARTMENT #5 : directly opposite the beach with great views.
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the location straight across the road from beach close to cafes, restaurants pubs and shopping.Views of the beach, and city lights in the evening while relaxing on the balcony was beautiful. Communication from Rashelle was great highly recommended , definitely will stay again "
"The unit was perfect. We have stayed in many properties in Mornington in the past 12 years, this unit is the best by far! It was very clean, very roomy and had a beautiful aspect overlooking the bay. Communication with the owners was very easy and they were very helpful."
"Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at Retro Retreat, which completely ruined our New Years eve experience down in Mornington. The owner advised me just a few hours before check in that the couch was broken and they replaced it with three lawn chairs instead. I was travelling with my toddler as well as my senior parents. It was totally unacceptable to have nowhere comfortable to sit. The entire house is really disgusting. The kitchen is old and full of ants. There is a back room they advertise as a 'games room' although it looks like a haunted house and stinks like animal pee. The furnishings are advertised as retro but everything is from Kmart. The garden is completely untidy with weeds growing out everywhere and nowhere to sit or for kids to play. There were broken plugs on the wall covered up with duct tape, as well as rubbish left from the previous tenants. We REALLY did not want to spend our New Years here but it was impossible to find other accommodation at the last minute. We ruined our evening trying to find somewhere else to go and dealing with unhappy parents. Luckily the owner refunded our booking after discussing the issues with her. I will say that she was understanding and her communication is great. I just think this property needs to be upgraded and cleaned or just taken off this site entirely. It's totally not suitable to be rented out at all."
