The apartment is beautiful and spacious with high ceilings. The kitchen is well-equipped . ( We could have used some dishcloths and dishsoap). The bathroom is large with good water pressure and spacious counter area. The area is close to a Metro Station and walkable to many fine restaurants in the old city.

The property itself was in a great location. The unit itself was great and for the most part very clean. However a few issues. 1. Checking in was not good. Myself and another person trying to check in were denied entrance to the building when using the codes we were given..multiple times someone from a law firm answered the intercom and then hung up on us. Finally after about 15 minutes someone exiting the building let us in. When I arrived at my room the code did not work and I had to contact Sonder and was on hold for a good 15 minutes before finally speaking to someone who reset my code and I was able to enter ny room after roughly 30 minutes of trying to check in. 2. The bed sheets and cover both had numerous blood stains on them that were very obvious to see. It was gross and made me wonder if the bedding had even been washed. I removed the bed sheets as the stains had bled through. I delt with the cover as the stains were on one side of the cover and I flipped it around so as to have the stains at the foot of the bed. I've stayed at Sonder places in the past and its usually good. Check in issues and dirty beding during this particular stay left a sour tatse for sure.

The code to get into the hotel room was not fully working it would take multiple tries, and no Ubers were able to find the property, hotel room very nice, was not loud, front door to building was very heavy and would slam very loudly

Pros Clean ,Unfussy good size close interesting areas.good shower Cons needs a couch or sofa not separate chairs, should have free bag storage for late checkouts.second bedroom only partitioned by glass so sound from loune disturbs sleepers.few more tea bags and milk for late arrivals

Loved our stay at Sonder Penny Lane. There's a grocery store about 10 minutes away by foot. Fully equipped kitchen. Would have been nice to have cooking oil / butter on hand but that's a minor thing. Great value for the money.

The room is a studio with a small, well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. It is also in a great location in Old Montreal. It certainly met all our needs. My one complaint is that the room we were give was above a club and some of the noise was auditable until the club closed around 2 AM. The noise was not too bad, and there were complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand. My wife and I did not need the ear plugs, but if you are a light sleeper the noise level might be a problem.

Feels safe and walkable to many fun places and great restaurants. The bed is hard and small for two people and of course there's no gym nor pool but it's quiet. We loved our stay there.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property with our two children. The location was convenient to museums and restaurants. We felt safe and the apartment had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

The Penny Lane studio was not as advertised. We expected a charming brick walled room as the pictures showed. We ended up with a white walled hotel looking room. I was paying extra for charm

Never have I struggled with such poor communication with a company on a 3 night stay. There were 3-4 numbers needed for just the entry into the building. Check in required a lengthy account set up. Verification codes and access code were required and when I called all I was told was that if I couldn’t set up the account and get these codes we would not be able to get into the building The room itself. AC was out the whole time.wasn’t til the last day there they said they would repair There was a big tv in the room that was non functional. Bed was small with a very old mattress The room was advertised as having Tv AC and temp control for 300/ night I expected some lot better than what we got Think twice about booking there. I don’t think we will ever use this hotel again I did not realize that I had to go through this long process after booking and all I got was to be told no access code( which I had to fish for through an account) no entry to the hotel. Staff was not helpful and actually felt like they were getting angry at me for not being able to find the access codes

The pictured property was not the unit we got and that was not communicated to us. The washroom was pretty dirty. Also, FYI there are two clubs next door and underneath the building. It was super loud on the weekend, but nowhere in the details of the surrounding area does it list clubs. We wouldn’t have stayed here if we knew there were clubs around us. Also, you have to wash your own towels. There is no cleaning service during the stay. The bed was also really uncomfortable. Like sleeping on plywood.
