Check-in was a nightmare. We had to stand in a long queue for incompetent or untrained staff who kept running for information to the staff at the next wicket. 3 or 4 staff members weren't trained for the job or made bad decisions. When we arrived we registered but had to wait until our room was ready, so we left our baggage with the valet on a lower level who gave us a ticket. We asked the concierge to look after our bags, but he said that it wasn't his job. After we brought our ticket to the desk clerk so she could notify the valet to bring our bags to our room, I noticed that she put it in a drawer and gave us our room keys. I mentioned to one of my travelling companions that she should take a picture of our ticket as we then had no receipt. She did that and we went to our rooms. After waiting an hour, one of our travelling companions, who is 70, went to the valet to find out what happened to our bags. We received a knock on our door and there was our companion with our bags; he had to bring them to our room, as the valet didn't know where our bags were nor where to deliver them. This is unacceptable and gave a bad opinion of the hotel! However, the rest of our stay was excellent. The food was good, the service was good at the restaurant and bar and the rooms were spacious and clean. There was a closet light, however, which had a short and kept going on and off, which could be a fire hazard. Bottom line: I wouldn't stay there again. The design was bad, as one enters from th
