Staff were friendly and helpful. Historical tour was amazing. Bistro was nice. I had a room with a private washroom, which makes a huge difference. After hours checkin was easy. I will visit again as long as I can book a room with a private washroom. Adjacent store, winery, vegetable markets and orchards are all wonderful. Lots of history and an evolving area.

It provided a nice stay for me and my son. The double bed was tight for the both of us, but we made it work. Take an extention cord for the fan they provide so you can stick it in the window to cool the room down to a bearable temperature. Young staff member at check-in was wonderful!

This is a lovely, delightful travel accommodation alternative. As seniors I just had to be careful to search for one of the rooms with a private bath before doing the booking. Very quiet and restful - easy to fall asleep. Take note that TVs are absent; just an FYI. Having The Bistro right there for dinner was very convenient and the food is excellent. The breakfast/break area is comfortable and welcoming and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the machine coffee - beans are ground for each cup!

Beautiful quiet place in Oka. Only down side is no washroom / bathroom in the room, it’s shared with other guests on the same floor. We love our stay there. Check in time is quite limited though only 2-5pm so some planning ahead is required. The fan in the room is greasy. Otherwise everything else seems clean.

The Auberge de l'Abbaye d'Oka has some definite positives: lovely historic building, nice grounds, a pretty outdoor bar/bistro. That said, I am ranking our room experience lower here because the listing in my booking clearly showed Air Conditioning (which was one of the main reasons I picked the room) and then when we got there it was not Air Conditioned - only a fan. It was so hot that we barely slept. I did speak to Expedia about this and to the desk clerks directly, but we haven't been able to come to a resolution. Heads up re AC issues for future travellers! Call the hotel maybe rather than trust the listing. Otherwise, the place is nice.

L’Abbaye is a historic Abbey. Rooms are simple and dignified with no ensuites. It’s a bit isolated and is surrounded by park and trails for cycling and walking g. Not a typical hotel stay. We loved the history and surroundings.
