The hotel was centrally located for walking to fisherman's wharf and to the aquarium. We had a king room facing the harbor which was very nice and spacious. Schooners was great for breakfast and or lunch. Yes would stay there again.

Once again, the Plaza exceeded our expectations. We always get a balcony, and I spend a great deal of time out on that balcony watching for sea life, I’m never disappointed. Pretty sure we will be kayaking next time. The spa has been on our list for several years, it’s fantastic. Being able to use the workout facility at the spa as well when we stay is a welcome perk. The property itself is lovely and well-maintained. The beds are extremely comfortable. Room service is prompt and just as good as any restaurant you can name. Only complaint is the vanity lighting is not good, but not a deal breaker The staff seems to have been designed to be as an amenable, friendly and efficient as possible.. From the valet to the maid in the hall, it’s apparent that someone is really paying attention to the meaning of ‘hospitality’. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The Monterey Plaza Hotel is a gem. The facilities, rooms, views, convenient walking distance to Cannery Row are all incomparable. That said, the most amazing aspect is the staff. Pleasant, available, helpful - what a group of terrific people. This is a charming hotel that presents as an 'old world' property (the 2018 remodel was extremely well done). You will not find a better or more enjoyable hotel in all of Monterey (and surrounds) - not to mention the location right on the Pacific ocean.

The view is magnificent, nice touch with the binoculars and ‘sea lion noise earplugs’ in the room. Restaurants on property are excellent, and room service is prompt and delicious. The rooms are very comfortable - from the valets to housekeeping, the staff is exceptional. Love being right down by Cannery Row. We stayed for the firsttime three years ago, and have made it a part of every Monterey stay since.
