Great location.Across from large park with ponds.Easy access to beach.Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf.Pet friendly. The housekeeping was terrible.First day nothing.Second day,I had to beg for trash removal & towels.Third day they removed our trash.Fourth day nothing.

Property was a clean old school style motor lodge. Convenient location. Could walk to beach and Fishermans wharf. However, did not like the gas station across the street.

Pretty much all tourist sites are within walking distance. The street to the west can be a bit loud at night. Overall, I can recommend a stay at the Monterey Bay Lodge.

Conveniently located to the Aquarium, but next to a gas station and a busy road. Also, there is no air conditioning, and your sliding door opens onto the building's walkway, so you can't sleep with the door open.

The location of the property was very convenient. Easy access from highway, Centrally located to drive to Aquarium, Point Lobos, Carmel, kayaking at Moss Landing. However this is motel with a pricepoint of a high end hotel. Accomodations dated, laminate chipping, sink chipped, painting needs to freshend up. Our room door opened to look at gas station.

The staff at the reception is excellent (I do not remember his name but he is outstanding. 5 stars for him). The hotel is simple but fair enough, with everything and clean and in order. The room did not have air conditioner but we did not need it because it was a cool night.

Great location for beach walks and access to fisherman’s wharf area. Nice rooms with amenities like mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Decent bathroom amenities. Beds and pillows are a little too firm (compared to places with pillow top mattresses.) Friendly staff, easy check in. Would stay again if immediate walking access to downtown isn’t the priority.

It's my second time staying here during the week. Place is always quiet. Bed is super comfortable. The king size bed room had a fireplace. Room is roomy. I used to live in Monterey near the lodge so it's a treat when im back to be in my old neighborhood near everything. Quick check in and checkour

Location was excellent. Right across from the beach. Super accessible and away from the pier and wharf. Right next to a gas station so it's not your destination if you're looking for a view, but it was impeccably clean and convenient. Would definitely stay there again.

My room when first entering had bugs on the comforter, little gnats. The room smelled like death and was so stuffy and also smelled like mold. Toilet didn’t flush right when I arrived. The tv wouldn’t connect to the internet network so couldn’t watch tv. The tub had rust stains that looked like vomit/poo stain. The worker Susan was so rude and kept pressuring me to stay even though I refused. Worst hotel experience ever and so nasty!
