"Ideally situated with just a pleasant 10 minute walk into the town and the chateau. Good access to main roads to visit other chateaux and countryside. Well furnished and decorated flat in a street of old houses. Parking is just around the corner. Francois is a pleasant and helpful host who lives next door to the site and is is on hand to resolve any difficulties or answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay."

The property is really lovely, it has so much character and is set in spacious grounds so ample room for the children to entertain themselves. The pool is a good size and right next to the house and there was plenty of useful information left by the owners to help plan trips further afield."

"The village is small and the people in the local shops and restaurants are very welcoming… Apart from “hello - goodbye - please - thank you “ our French is shameful. But everyone was so friendly.. Our hosts, Anne-Sophie and Olivier were lovely. The cottage was fresh, clean, well equipped and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. If are looking for somewhere to call home and relax after exploring the region, this is the place stay."

"Quiet semi rural location in an area close to lots of fun things to do and see. Beds were comfortable, home was clean and well stocked in the kitchen with items for cooking or heating food. Alexandre was very responsive and met us at the property both checking in and leaving. We had a good stay."

"We had an amazing visit to the heart of the Loire Valley. This is a beautifully renovated old building in the quaint old village of Larcay. A 2 minute walk to the river or an amazing little restaurant called Les Planchettes. Easy access to Tours and the many castles and vineyards in the area. It feels like travelling back in time but with all of the modern amenities. Thanks to Sylvain and Adele for everything, including the welcome bottle of delicious Vouvray! Highly recommended."

"A comfortable, clean, charming escape, with country quiet, proximity to Loire Valley castles, and food shopping. Bucolic and perfectly landscaped, with welcoming hosts. Two small things: (1) a surprise 75 euro cleaning fee on top of vrbo charges (announced after confirmation/deposit) and (2) no Wi-Fi or phone service (the owner is addressing this)."

"We enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage! We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! Found it a bit difficult navigating from the parking across the lowly light ground in front (uneven lawn). Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Hosts very responsive. Thank you!"

"The house is just like in the photos, although they don’t really do it justice. We all had a fabulous time, there was enough of everything - from generous size mugs to plates and outdoor chairs. The house was lovely and cool inside, even though it was fairly hot outside. The pool was brilliant, with half of it at a great depth for the 4 year olds, and the deep end was still good for adults jumping in. The space around the house made it feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but the villages...

"Along with another family, we stayed at this fabulous place in August 2023 for our summer holiday. Four children (aged 4-10 years old) and four adults had a great time. The property was very clean, well equipped and the pool, hot-tub and gardens were loved by us during our stay. The outdoor kitchen/BBQ area was a fab feature that we made great use of as the weather was lovely and warm. "We arrived very late as our flight was delayed and then we were stuck in Paris traffic. Lawrence was very kind to keep a parking spot for us next to the rental apartment so it would be easier for us to unload our luggage. When we asked him if there are any supermarkets open to buy some food for late dinner Lawrence said that supermarket was already closed then, to our surprise, he brought us some food from his house so we could have dinner!
